After a dominant 124-103 victory by the Dallas Mavericks over the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 5 of the Western Conference finals, the 2024 NBA playoffs have one series left: the NBA Finals.
The Boston Celtics swept the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference finals to secure their second NBA Finals appearance in the past three seasons. The Mavericks' 4-1 series win over the Timberwolves gives Dallas its first Finals berth since 2011, when the Dirk Nowitzki-led team defeated the LeBron James-led Miami Heat for the lone title in Dallas franchise history.
The Celtics opened as -225 favorites Thursday night at ESPN BET, while the Mavericks were listed as +185 underdogs. Jayson Tatum is the current betting favorite for Finals MVP at -120, with Luka Doncic (+200) and Jaylen Brown (+550) close behind.
Game 1 doesn't tip off until June 6. Here are the opening odds for the Finals courtesy of ESPN BET .
